Syracuse, Ortigia Marzamemi and Noto
This is a fantastic full day excursion; you will be collected from your preferred location and we will drive to our first stop Noto, a fabulous baroque styled town that boasts one of Sicily’s most beautiful historic centres.
A visit to the St Nicholas Cathedral is not to be missed, here you will have the option of climbing to the top of the bell tower and admire the breath-taking views. Our next stop is close to the most Southern point of Sicily Marzamemi;
This small fishing village with a poetic name is a great stop for lunch and a visit to the picturesque Piazza Regina Margherita.
On route to Siracusa we will stop in Ortigia, the old city of Siracusa separated by a narrow channel.
The opportunity to visit The Duomo, the Temple of Athena and a wander around the shaded, sandy coloured streets taking in the large baroque palazzos is a must.
Then on to the Siracusa archaeological site containing the impressive remains of the ancient city and the active Greek amphitheatre (charged locally).
Our journey back to your desired drop off will be finished with an all-important ice cream stop.
Please note: This is a private excursion with a dedicated driver and vehicle, entrance fees to archaeological sites ARE NOT included in the cost. All of our excursions and tours have been organised for pick up within a 10km radius of Taormina and Giardini Naxos. We would be more than happy to quote for pick up outside this area. On receiving your booking we will contact you to arrange pick up location, time and address or any special requirements you may have.
